ELIZABETH ROCK

Director of the Mini Stars & Petite Company

"Liz” realized her love for music and movement at a very young age. She did gymnastics starting at age 3 and competed until she had a career ending injury at age 13. As soon as she could, she jumped full force into dance and trained extensively in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical and Hip Hop. Through high school she choreographed and performed all over the United States and Europe with a local show choir group and dance company. She was a featured dancer at the Roses Festival in Roses, Spain and in the Dallas Christmas Festival. She was the Assistant Choreographer for a local Church Choir Mission Trip to Mexico City, New York City, Boston, Italy, Spain and Germany. Liz lent her talents to help her dance teams and companies in winning many local and national awards. She coached competitive gymnastics, as well as being named manager of a gymnastics training center by the time she was 18 years old. For years, Liz has been teaching competitive dance, winning many high mark awards, and has even had the pleasure of being a dance studio office manager. She has been recognized and received awards for her outstanding ability to teach dance throughout the Dallas area for 16 years now.

Elizabeth was selected as a member for the Arena Football League’s Dallas Desperados Dancers for two seasons. With this team, Liz proudly performed in Texas Stadium at the Dallas Cowboys games, the Dallas Cowboys’ Official Draft Party, on Fox 4’s “Good Day Dallas”, and at the Celebrity Concert in Fort Hood for thousands of our U.S. Troops. She was also chosen by Emily Scoville to be dance captain for the AFL’s Dallas Vigilantes Dancers, as well as choreographing numerous dances for them, the Texas Revolution Dancers, and the Allen American Ice Angels.

Pure Movement proudly and uniquely offers Tumbling for Dancers thanks to Liz’s gymnastics and dancing background. Her ability to push and encourage dancers at the same time separates Liz from many other instructors. She is raising her own little shining star, Willa, who dances here at Pure Movement, with her husband Kevin, and resides in McKinney.
